About Me

Barry Fisher
Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom
Hello and welcome. I'm a 64 year old occupational hygiene consultant with a passion for wildlife photography based in Staffordshire. All my life I've had two main hobbies both of which complement my love of wildlife - fly fishing and photography. My interest in photography started as an eighteen year old with an Halina camera. I then progressed through Practica SLRs before becoming an Olympus OM and medium format film user for many years. However, once I had tried the autofocus facility offered by a Canon EOS500 I became hooked on the Canon system and have used Canon equipment ever since. My current cameras consist of a 1Dmk2, a 40D and an older 20D. I use a wide range of (mainly Canon L series) lenses ranging from a (Sigma) 12-24mm to a Canon 500mmF4LIS which is my everyday bird photography lens.
